Proudly Announcing our Direct Service Providers | FY20-21

August 2020

Smart Start of Mecklenburg County is excited to announce our FY20-21 grant recipients! We are proud to partner with these area organizations to build a strong system of support for our young children and their families.

Smart Start of Mecklenburg's mission is to mobilize resources, forge partnerships, and support families to improve early childhood health, education and development and ensure children are prepared for kindergarten.

In support of our mission and vision, we administer approximately $29 million annually in state, county and private funds to programs serving children ages birth to five, their families, and their caregivers.

Our focus is on supporting the most vulnerable members of our community, while making long-term investments in health, family support, early education and literacy.

Programs are funded based on the community's unique needs, and are evidence-based or evidence-informed to get the highest possible return from every dollar invested. This results in improved health for young children, stronger families and higher-quality early childhood care and education programs in Mecklenburg County.

We invite you to learn more about each program by clicking the links below, or to contribute to our mission by donating here.
