#GivingTuesday (Nov. 28) is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

Presented by Wells Fargo and powered by SHARE Charlotte, #GivingTuesdayCLT is Charlotte's local response to the global movement. Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesdayCLT is a day for our community families, businesses, students and others to come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

#GivingTuesdayCLT is an unprecedented collaboration of more than 230 Charlotte nonprofits as well as corporations, local businesses, professional sports teams and community organizations working together for the greater good.

From Nov. 14-28 Charlotte neighbors can make financial or in-kind donations and/or pledge volunteer time at GivingTuesdayCLT.org

In 2016, Charlotte was the largest community-wide Giving Tuesday campaign in history, raising $7.2M for 174 Charlotte nonprofits. The goal this year is to raise $10 million for 230+ local nonprofits!

Smart Start of Mecklenburg County's goal is to raise $6,000 during the #GivingTuesdayCLT campaign. This amount will cover the cost of books for 200 children enrolled in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
