This scholarship is designed for undergraduate adult students, ages 25 or older, who are pursuing or continuing a degree program at a public, private or not-for-profit accredited four-year college/university within Mecklenburg County.
This scholarship is a minimum of $2,500.

Open to all Graduate Certificate in Teaching candidates who demonstrate financial need (FAFSA required), show a commitment to the teaching profession, and reside in NC.

Jane and Rusty Goode Endowment for Educators
While both recognize the highest-achieving applicants, merit scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic, artistic, or athletic achievements, while need-based scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need based on FAFSA.
Late October 2025: NinerScholars portal opens to apply for scholarships that, if awarded, will be credited to the student's account for the 2026-27 academic year.
April 1, 2025: Application deadline for most scholarships for freshmen and transfer students enrolling fall 2026, and continuing students.
Cato Scholarship for Education
Supports new first-year and transfer students who plan to pursue studies within the Cato College of Education. A renewable award., recipients must demonstrate a commitment to strong work ethic through meaningful part-time work experience or a commitment to volunteering through meaningful community service.Click Here
