Fairyland Childcare Center is proud to announce a new Summer Camp program in collaboration with Headway ABA Therapy, designed to support students diagnosed with Autism in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. Throughout the duration of the summer camp, students will receive individualized support from a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), with a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on site at all times to ensure high-quality care and support for every child.

This collaborative program was made possible through a partnership between Headway ABA Therapy, Fairyland Childcare Center, and MECK Pre-K's Child Development and Family Support Team (CDFS). Throughout the school year, the CDFS team works closely with Headway and Fairyland to support students and families in need of direct services, evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized plans that help children thrive both academically and socially.

"Our Summer ABA Therapy Program is designed to provide children with a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where they can continue building upon the skills, they worked so hard to develop throughout the school year," said Kassy Packer of Headway ABA. "For many children, the transition from Pre-K to Kindergarten is an exciting milestone, but it can also be a time when important social, communication, self-regulation, and school-readiness skills need continued practice. This program helps bridge that gap by providing structured opportunities for learning through play, peer interaction, and meaningful daily routines."

The summer camp will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, the CMS Evaluation Team will be able to conduct evaluations onsite at the center to further support students through the IEP process and ensure families have access to the resources they need.
"In addition to supporting skill maintenance and growth, this program offers families an inclusive and safe summer camp option where their children can feel successful, supported, and connected. Our goal is for every child to leave the summer not only better prepared for the school year ahead, but also with increased confidence, meaningful friendships, and lasting memories of a summer filled with laughter, exploration, and adventure," said Packer.

A special thank you to Mr. Grier of Fairyland Academy, Kassy from Headway ABA Therapy, and Renee Little Boyce and Colleen Jones for serving as the driving force behind this impactful collaboration and for their continued dedication to supporting children and families in our community.
