Stabilization Grant Applications for Child Care Programs are Now Open!

October 2021

We are excited to share that the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) has announced that the application for child care stabilization grants is now open! All licensed child care programs, including private for- or not-for-profit community-based childcare programs, family child care homes, and faith-based (GS 110) programs are eligible to apply for these grants.

Funding comes from the federal American Rescue Plan Act to help support and sustain child care programs with relief funding during COVID-19. We know that child care programs across the state are still facing many challenges in the face of this pandemic from workforce shortages, to low enrollment, to increased costs, and much more. These stabilization grants are an opportunity for all child care programs to receive funds to help overcome these challenges.

Please note that unlike previous operational grants, child care programs will need to fill out a simple application in order to receive this funding. To assist child care programs in applying and using these grants funds, DCDEE is hosting a series of training webinars. Please see below for more information about the webinars and please share with child care providers in your community!
