 Charlotte-Mecklenburg's More at Four Pre-K classrooms serve approximately 1,500 at-risk 4-year-olds of which 895 are supported by Smart Start. Central Avenue Bilingual Preschool serves over 60 Hispanic/Latino children and their families to prepare for school, improve language skills and reduce cultural barriers. 100% of Smart Start Star Rating Bonus dollars support teachers in an effort to reduce turnover in child care facilities.
