The Smart Start Education Award program offers education awards in June to child care professionals. The goal is to improve child care quality by encouraging higher education levels for early childhood professionals. Specific eligibility requirements vary from year to year based on Smart Start’s available funding. The eligibility requirements will be published in the Education Award Application when it is posted in the spring of each year.
Smart Start will begin accepting completed applications on Monday, May 15th between 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, ending at 12:00 NOON on Wednesday, May 31st. We will accept applications until 7:00 p.m. on May 17 and May 30 ONLY! Your application packet will be reviewed while you wait to ensure all necessary components are included.
The completed application with all required documents, including YOUR SEALED official transcript(s), is due at the Smart Start office, Children & Family Services Center, 601 E. 5th St., Suite 500 by Wednesday May 31, 2017 at noon.
Late, faxed, emailed applications including attachments will not be accepted.
