Submit A Blog Guest Post

If you serve our target population of children birth to 5, and have programs and parent tips you would like to share, we hope you will consider guest blogging on our site.

Keep in mind that we serve the Charlotte/Mecklenburg County area of North Carolina for articles that are tied to a location. Depending on the statements and facts presented in your article, you may be required to provide up to 3 sources for your data. We are looking for articles from experts working in or with professionals in the health, family support, early childhood education industries. 

How to be a Guest Blogger

We’ve created an easy-to-use online form asking some basic information about you and your organization. While we cannot provide monetary compensation, but we can offer promotion. At the end of your guest post, we will include a short bio about you or your organization. It should be no more than 3-4 lines and we reserve the right to cut it if you send a longer bio. With your article, we will include your head-shot and/or logo. We’ve provided other upload options if you would like to provide images to go with your article. 

Someone from the Smart Start office will contact you via the email you provide to let you know when your article will post. We will include the specific link so that you may share it on your social media accounts. We cannot guarantee when your article will be published, but if it is time sensitive, we will do our best to post it in a time frame you reference on the form. We will reserve the right to accept or reject any articles that we feel are not appropriate, do not serve our target population, or do not meet our editorial standards. 


Please only upload images and/or articles in which you hold the copyright, have obtained the appropriate license for us to use on our blog, and/or is in the public domain. By submitting any articles and uploading images, you agree that you have read, understand, and agree to this policy and are taking full responsibility for the information you have provided to Smart Start. 


As a result, your article will be promoted on all our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. If you submit a video and/or link to a video, we will post that and share it on our YouTube page. It will be an avenue of promotion for you and your organization. A link to your article may also be included in our monthly e-Starting Line newsletter. We do ask that you check back to answer any specific questions from readers that may leave comments on our blog.
